How does it work?

  • Enable export of approved hours and employee data.

  • Align Planday’s salary identifiers, departments and shift types with TriNet.

  • Approved shift data flows from Planday to TriNet.

Set up your integration

  • Ensure you have Administrator access in Planday (full department and schedule rights) and in TriNet (integration/partner setup access).
  • In Planday: Navigate to Settings → Integrations. Select the TriNet payroll export option and enable it for your organisation.
  • In TriNet: Access the Integration Center, identify the Planday feed (or relevant API), and set up the data-mapping (employees, cost centres, pay codes).
  • In Planday: Configure salary codes, shift types, employee attributes so that when exported they correspond to the correct codes in TriNet.
  • Pilot test: Export a small batch of approved hours, import into TriNet, validate the pay-run, check payslips and cost allocations.
  • Go live: After successful validation, use the integration for your next full-cycle payroll, monitor for anomalies and refine mapping as needed.
