How does it work?

  • Connect your systems to ingest the exported hours.

  • Align Planday salary codes, shift types and cost centres with Paychex.

  • Approved shift-data flows from Planday into Paychex, where you process payroll.

Set up your integration

  • Ensure you have Administrator access in Planday (rights over all schedules, departments and integrations) and in Paychex (integration setup access).
  • In Planday: Go to Settings → Integrations → Paychex, connect your Paychex account and enable data export of approved hours, employee details and cost-centre mappings.
  • In Paychex: Configure the import template to accept Planday-exported shift/employee/cost data. Map fields such as pay-code, cost centre, overtime, etc.
  • Test it: Run a small export from Planday, import into Paychex, validate that hours align, pay-codes map correctly and cost-centres reconcile.
  • Go live: Once validated, deploy the workflow for live payroll runs; monitor for mapping issues or exceptions and adjust configurations as needed.
