Today, we are proud to announce that we have raised a $14.1 million Series B round of funding. The round is led by new investors Idinvest, and also includes Creandum – the lead investor in our Series A round in 2014 – and SEB Private Equity, and Angel Investor Arthur Kosten.

We’re very proud to announce that Planday is in the top 5 of GetApp’s quarterly top 25 ranking of not only employee scheduling apps but also of workforce management apps. In both rankings, we’ve reached #4 which is a big step for us. With Planday, we’re on a mission to help businesses make the move away from manual tools, and enable teams to work together and more efficiently with the help of a simple, cloud-based product. This ranking shows that we’re on the right track.

One year after the Swedish venture capital fund, Creandum, invested $3.75m in Planday, the Danish company receives yet another vast sum of capital. This time it comes from the Danish Market Development Fund. The money is going to take Planday to the next level and attract well-established customers from three foreign markets in particular in which there is a huge potential for employee scheduling software.

In 2014, when Creandum invested in Planday, they kept a part of the investment open for the right co-investor. And that was Klaus Nyengaard, who worked hard to build and internationalise the takeaway concept Just-Eat. Planday will now use his experience to continue the growth.
